	Icon Education Group provides its public courses through Hong Kong Effective Careers Institute (the School). The School was founded in 1978 and is registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau (EDB) as a private education institute (Registration Numbers: ED1/28763 & ED1/28764). Apart from the Corporate and Government Training Courses that can also be offered under the public courses domain, the public courses offered by the School also include: Adult Continuing Professional Education English Language Courses Adult English Courses IELTS Preparation Programmes Diploma in Business Communication English Phonetics and Speaking Courses Finance and Commercial Courses Diploma in Wealth Management and Financial Planning Course Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Business Administration Registered Financial Planner Course City & Guilds, LCCI and HKAAT Courses Introduction to Hospitality, Tourism and Catering Certificate Course 　 With its well-equipped facilities and long-established reputation, the School is also a registered examination center for the HKDSE, City & Guilds, LCCI and HKAAT examinations and has also been accredited as one of the Workplace English course providers in Hong Kong by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research under the EDB. The School's Adult English Courses, Diploma in Business Communication, and Diploma in Wealth Management and Financial Planning courses have also been included by the Hong Kong Government in the list of reimbursable courses for Continuing Education Fund purposes.
